UN Survey On Happiness 2024: In the Happiness Report released by the United Nations, Pakistan has once again grabbed more headlines than India. Pakistan secured 108th position in the Happiness Report released by the United Nations on Wednesday (April 10). In this ranking, India reached 126th position. Finland remains at number one among the happiest countries in the world for the seventh consecutive year. Among the happy countries, Nordic countries Denmark, Iceland and Sweden also maintain their ranking in the top-10.
Afghanistan is at the bottom among happy countries
Afghanistan is at the bottom among the 143 countries included in this UN survey. In the list of happy countries, the United States moved to 23rd place and Germany to 24th place. At the same time, Costa Rica was included in the list of top-20 happy countries with 12th position and Kuwait at 13th position. According to the UN report, no big country is included among the happiest countries in the world.
Population of top-10 happiest countries
Among the top-10 happiest countries, only the Netherlands and Australia have a population of more than 15 million. Among the top 20 countries in the list, only Canada and Britain have a population of more than 30 million. According to the UN report, since 2006-10, there has been a huge decline in Afghanistan, Lebanon and Jordan in terms of happy countries. Whereas Eastern European countries including Serbia, Bulgaria and Latvia have got good ranking in the list of happy countries.

This year, a separate list of happy countries has been released by the UN on the basis of age. In this, Lithuania ranks first in terms of happiness among people under 30 years of age. In this list, Pakistan is at 107th, India at 127th and Bangladesh at 128th. Similarly, Denmark ranks first in the list of people aged 60 years and above. In this list, Pakistan is at 112th, India is at 121st and Bangladesh is at 120th.
In this list of 143 countries prepared by the United Nations, the last 20 countries have been included among the most unhappy countries in the world, in which Afghanistan is at the top. Apart from this, India, Yemen, Jordan, Egypt, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are also included in this list.
